Another iPad this year? Website Digitimes reports that Taiwan-based component suppliers for the iPhone 5 and iPad 3 are already preparing materials for production of both iOS devices. Citing industry sources they report adds that the devices are likely to be introduced in September and become available in October: "The sources pointed out that Apple only plans to launch one model of the new iPhone, while iPad 3 has just recently been added to the production schedule with both set to be produced in small volumes in August and the volume will start picking up in September and October." While we can believe the reports on the iPhone 5, which we all know is coming this year anyway and has been widely-reported as a September announcement with a possible release later this month, it's hard to figure out where the iPad 3 information really comes from. Sure, it's going to happen, but will it really be this year? Especially with yesterday's Digitimes report saying that Apple is ramping up iPad 2 Shipment for the busy seasson. Apple's typically not one to keep the older model around, unless it's the iPhone we're talking about. Everything else gives way to the latest model in their product line.
