Ted Rice, 4 , was diagnosed with leukemia after his dad posted his photo on a social networking site.
Worried dad Philip Rice posted the photo of his son on Facebook after putting him to bed with a rash.
A friend on Facebook, Dr. Sara Barton recognized that the young Rice had a leukemia after seeing his picture.
The British doctor said it is a symptom of acute lymphocytic leukemia. He then sent a message to Philip saying that Ted needed to go to the hospital immediately for treatment.
After the test, Philip and wife Sarah were informed that their son has a 75 percent chance of surviving.
“I had a gut feeling something was wrong so I posted the photo.”
“That photo probably saved us,” Rice said.
