Junrey Balawing, 17 years old, measured only 22 inches high will soon be crowned as the world’s smallest man. Balawing is a Filipino teenager who lives in Zamboanga del Norte, Philippines.
According to the Guinness World Records spokesman, “We are looking to review the claim when Junrey Balawing turns 18, which is when candidates for this title can officially apply for the record.”
The current title holder Khagendra Thapa Magar, of Nepal, who is 26.4in tall. He took the title from 27 inches tall Edward Nino Hernandez of Colombia .
Balawing will officially take the title of the current title holder when he turns 18 on June 12.
He said: “If I were the smallest man in the world, it would be very cool.”
