Sunfish is the largest bony fish in the world as listed in the Guiness Book of Records.
The fish has the record due to its unsually HUGE body structure and size. The length of its body averages between three to five meters long! This gorgeous giant sunfish was on the Atlantic coast of the USA, it was three meters long and weighs over 1.5 tons!
Another giant Sunfish was caught in 1908 near Sydney. The length of 4.26 meter and weight 2, 235kg. Sunfish Mola Mola has a totally different look from other fishes. It body flattened to form an elongated drive a little, short tail and the finds are connected to each other. The skin is thick and lumping. During spawning season, Mola Mola lay eggs up to 300 million at a time! Sunfish is considered as a delicacy in some part of the world like Taiwan, Indonesia and Japan.
