T-Mobile has confirmed the introduction of Sidekick 4G, a next generation cellular phone powered by Android. The introduction of Sidekick phones was planned by Samsung and T-Mobile which was known to the industry. Pre-launch web page of Sidekick 4G was made live on T-Mobile’s site from middle of February this year. It has been confirmed by T-Mobile that that cloud services powered by Danger servers would be shut down 31st May 2011 onwards. Termination of these servers is a precursor to the launch of new generation handsets.

Sidekick 4G is a transition from an elementary Sidekick brand to a fully featured smartphone. Sidekick 4G based on Android 2.2 would have exceptional smart appearance and integrated with messaging, media, and social networking applications. As always 4G handsets target the young generation that love such features. These handsets are expected to hit the market in late spring only on T-Mobile range.
