Mayl 2011 Technology News Update: Motorola Xoom Review (www.drmobiles.co.nz)

Motorola-Xoom.jpgMotorola has taken a splash into the tablet market with this product known as Motorola Xoom. Motorola seems to have hit the right chord with their debut tablet and has stirred a lot of interest in the mobile market. This is a 10.1 inch device that runs on the dual core Tegra 2 chipset which is definitely the best processor in the market.
The screen offers a resolution count of 1280×800 pixels and is superior to that of HP Touch Pad in terms of overall brightness and luminance. This is the first ever product to be launched with the Android 3.0 Honeycomb version OS and sure brings about a lot of functionality to the model. Xoom also comes with a 5MP rear camera that is capable of recording videos at 1080 p along with a 2 MP front facing camera for video calling purposes. The microSD card slot enables the users to expand the external memory space by up to 32 GB. For connectivity, the users get to use Bluetooth, Wifi feature, USB and HDMI port facility. It is a common feature for high end devices to have built in support of Facebook, Twitter etc…Other features provided are music player and A-GPS technology.
The only area where Motorola Xoom lacks a little bit is its multi format music player. The overall sound experience is just ordinary but this fact still is acceptable considering even the other such tablets. The 5MP camera is good but lacks a little bit on comparing it with Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1’s 8 MP camera. But otherwise, Motorola Xoom is a well created device with a great functionality.
