Apple iPhone Leak News: Anonymous Hacked Apple: Fake Assumptions? (www.drmobiles.co..nz)

A lot of possibilities could happen once a well-known company gets hacked. All the personal and confidential information could be compromised and the reputation of the company will surely be sacked. But it is just a bit disappointing to know that despite of all security measures, there are still those that can manage to get the codes cracked.

Anonymous Apple Hack Anonymous Hacked Apple: Fake Assumptions? Full Details of the Story

Sadly, no company is exempted from these attacks. Not even Apple. In fact, the latest hack report came from a hacker group called "Anonymous".  The said group has recently claimed that they have successfully managed to invade one of the company’s servers along with those encrypted passwords and user names.

Apart from this, the hacker group tweeted that the said invasion was not a serious hack. Though, the group did state that there’s a possibility for the company to be next target apart from their current hack attacks. The group then ended their tweet with the AntiSec hashtag.

Prior to this, the Cupertino-based company has already faced a lot of moddlings and cracks. Most of the invasions were focused on the company’s most notable gadgets such as the iPhone and the iPad.

On the other hand, reports were also stating that the aforesaid group has also invaded the storage base of a dating site called pepper.nl.

2011 Tech News: Android and iOS growth continues as RIM falters! www.drmobiles.co.nz

Mobile market analysts from comScore have just published their monthly report on the market shares of the major operating systems and manufacturers in the US. The data gathered in the three months ending in May 23 point to Android as the biggest gainer, while Apple's iOS is not doing bad either.

The Google OS has extended its market share by 5.1 percent points to a whopping market share of 38.1% and continues to extend its lead over competitors. On the second spot Apple has gained 1.4 percent points and is now starting to build a gap to third-placed RIM. The Cupertino-based company overtook the BlackBerry manufacturer only last month, but now holds a 26.6% market share to RIM's 24.7%.

The comScore report also shows that Windows Phone 7 is still struggling to make an impact and the market share of the Microsoft platforms continues to shrink. Of course this is more due to people finally replacing their Windows Mobile smartphones with another platform, but the fact remains that WP7 is unable to match the growth of the two industry behemoths.

HP is also not having a particularly good time with its webOS, its market share now down to 2.4%, compared to 2.8% at the end of Februrary.

Motorola and RIM however are heading downwards, while Samsung is maintaining its No.1 position, even without the lack of market share gain.

Google Announces 5 New Features For Discovering Android Market Apps

Screen shot 2011-05-11 at 11.40.23 AM

Android users know what the Android Market is. Many of them may use the Android Market to purchase their apps. Today Google announced that they are updating the system so that users can more easily find apps that they like. Some of it looks similar to iOS, but we are often reminded of the apps we like to use for iOS that are meant solely for finding apps such as top-rated or apps that are on sale

According to Google, they have over 200,000 applications available on the Android Market. That can be a lot to sort through. Here's what they've added:

New top app charts - Google revamped the charts so that they are more up-to-date and specific to region. They also have top free, paid and top grossing. It looks a bit more like what Apple's App Store has.

Editors' Choice - Staff picked apps.

Top Developers - Sorted by developers. Any developers that are known for great or high-quality apps will be recognized.

Better Related Apps - They have tweaked the store so that while downloading or browsing for an App, the user can have a better idea of what some of the apps that other users looked at while browsing for a similar app. This is much like Amazon does when you are looking for an item and it tells you that users who bought one item also bought another item.

Trending Apps - This just shows apps that are getting the most downloads at a given time.

Rubin: Over 500k Android Devices Activated Every Day!

Andy Rubin Twitter

Android is growing fast. According to Google senior vp of mobile, Andy Rubin, Android activations are currently being activated at a rate of 500,000 per day. Yeah, half a million new Android devices are being connected to a cellular network each day.

Of course there are various devices on various carriers, but that's still a crapload of new handsets and tablets. He adds that it's growing at 4.4 percent worldwide.

The announcement was made via Twitter, on his verified account:

"There are now over 500,000 Android devices activated every day, and it's growing at 4.4% w/w"

Looks like Google's mobile OS is doing well.

Eight (8) Rumors About the Apple iPhone 5 That Seem Possible. . . .

Iphone 5g

Over that last few days, several more rumors have come in about the iPhone 5. We've posted them as they come in, but now it's time to gather the stuff we've been hearing and post it in one spot that's quick and easy for our readers to skim through. Some are updates, and some are rumors that have existed for some time now. Let's take a look at everything we've heard up until this point. Shall we?

1) Camera Flash is Moved Over

This one comes from two different sources. One is an image of a case supposedly designed for the Apple iPhone 5, it shows that the camera remains in the same spot while the flash has moved over to the opposite end of the phone.

Also lending a bit of validity to that rumor was an image of supposed camera components. They compare the iPhone 4 camera sensors to what are said to be iPhone 5 camera sensors.

2) 8MP Camera Sensor

This rumor came from Sir Howard Stringer, aka Big Boss over at Sony. He mentioned a few months back that they were suppling camera components for an Apple device that required an 8 megapixel camera. He never said what that device was, but it's most likely an iPhone 5. Typically, Facetime cameras and those built into the iPod touch and iPad aren't as high quality as the ones Apple puts in the iPhone. This narrows things down quite a bit and gives us more reason to believe that it will be a component in the iPhone 5.

3) Edge-to-Edge Screen

This one has a bit of weight to it. We it's not entirely clear at this point whether it's happening, but several rumors seem to point to yes. This may be in order to stay competitive with other smartphones, such as Android devices, some of which make the iPhone's screen look very tiny in comparison. Still, Apple would likely want to do this without making the iPhone larger.

4) iOS5This is most likely coming before the next iPhone. We will see it at WWDC '11, if reports are to be believed. We are willing to bet that it will happen. As for a release, perhaps later in June? That's not known yet. Apple can pretty much roll it out whenever they want to. It can be the hour they announce it for all we know. Either way, it would be in their best interests to release it before the iPhone 5 launches, otherwise they will be hit hard with millions of users registering and updating all at once.

The iPad 2 has a dual-core A5 processor. Apple likes their A-series because of the low power consumption. Much like the iPhone 4 and the original iPad carried an A4, it's likely that the next iPhone will carry a custom dual-core A5 chip.

5) Dual-Core A5 Processor

A5

6) iPhone 4S Not iPhone 5?

Some rumors have suggested that the next iPhone may actually be named the iPhone 4S. This has been mentioned a few times, but none of the rumors seem to come from proven sources. One analyst says that this may be the case, because the iPhone will not be a 4G phone. This may be due to a shortage of Qualcomm chipsets.

7) No NFC

This one was mentioned by Bernstein Research. They say that the iPhone 5 (or iPhone 4S, but we will just go with 5 to keep it simple) will not have NFC technology. There have been many rumors saying it would, but probably just as many saying it wouldn't. Most of them began when people saw that Apple was hiring NFC experts. This was fueled by speculation that Apple wanted to remain competitive with Google's newer, NFC-enabled smartphones. The truth is, this rumor has been on and off for so long that it's funny, as in HAHA funny.

8) September Announcement

We can expect the device to be announced in September. This may be during Apple's usual fall music event at which they usually announce the new line of iPods (iPod touch, iPod nano, iPod shuffle). Some say that this may be when Apple announces their new iPhone. Could this be Steve's "And one more thing..."? Probably.

What do you think?

Sometimes it's a little fun to speculate. We all do it. We all enjoy digging and picking through the rumors to see what seems most likely and what seems like total bull. Right now, if we had to put our money on it, we'd probably go with the repositioned camera flash, the 8MP camera, the A5 chip and iOS5. Those are all safe bets as is the September announcement. The edge-to-edge screen seems plausible, at least much more so than a mini-iPhone.

What do you all think?
