Tesla buys $1.5 billion in bitcoin, sending its price soaring | Ars TechnicaThe history of #Dogecoin
It started as a joke. Bitcoin, the original cryptocurrency, was an impressive technical innovation that let anyone exchange digital money at low fees and without the need to ask for anyone's permission. But Bitcoin was also open source, meaning everyone could copy it, and at one point, everyone did, with clones such as #Litecoin and #Peercoin popping up everywhere.
Dogecoin is the funny answer to this trend. Created in December 2013 by software engineers Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer, it's a copy of Bitcoin (more precisely, Litecoin, which itself is fairly similar to Bitcoin) that features the Shiba Inu dog and is almost always referred to in silly language that abounds with dog- and moon-related metaphors.

We are the History in the Making and soon we will see $1 price! : dogecoinAlmost from the get-go, Dogecoin garnered a devoted following. It attracted anyone who wasn't particularly serious about crypto, but still wanted to participate.

27-4-2020: New Zealand will be on Covid19 Level 3 Alert tomorrow. #drmobileslimited, #iphonerepair, #samsungs10, #coronavirus, #covid19nz, #aucklandrepair, #auckland

27-4-2020:  New Zealand will be on Covid19 Level 3 Alert tomorrow.  It had been a long and challenging time to wait out on the #covid19nz Level 4 Lockdown.  I cannot recall when my hands consumer more alcohol than I do (not that I am a heavy drinking).  Made my self productive, did a lot of research on the impact of the #conronavirus pandemic.

We took a few hours to update our #phonerepair poster designs and to be shared on #socialmedia, #twitter, #facebook, #snapchat and #instagram.
This is a vertical layout poster for #iphonerepair with the #coronavirus theme.

The life we used to know before March 2020 will never be the same again.  #conronavirus pandemic is a the great equalizer; all nations on earth have to start again on equal footing.

We witness the so called "first world countries" suffered the most from the pandemic and literary brought to their knees.  Many expect the biggest economy tsunami will hit the global economy in a scale that had not been witness by humankind for the past 150 years or.  Short url link for this post is https://cutt.ly/0ya36KP

Please see the official announcement of for the #level3 details on the #newzealand government official website.  Below is part of the official announcement:

New Zealand will be at Alert Level 3 from Tuesday 28 April
The Government has announced that New Zealand can safely move out of Alert Level 4 lockdown at 11.59pm on Monday 27 April.
20 Apr 2020
The Government has announced New Zealand will move out of Alert Level 4 lockdown at 11.59pm on Monday 27 April. We are still in Alert Level 4 until then.

We will hold at Alert Level 3 for 2 weeks, before Cabinet reviews how we are tracking and makes further decisions on 11 May.

The Government’s decision today allows many businesses to get going again, and for many people to go back to work.

Schools will be able to open soon after we move into Alert Level 3.

At Alert Level 3 we will need to be even more vigilant. All of us will need to unite against COVID-19 by sticking to the rules.

The Golden Rules for life at Alert Level 3:
Stay home. If you are not at work, school, exercising or getting essentials then you must be at home, the same as at Alert Level 4.
Work and learn from home if you can. We still want the vast majority of people working from home, and children and young people learning from home. At-risk students and staff should also stay at home, and they will be supported to do so. Early learning centres and schools will physically be open for up to Year 10 for families that need them.
Make your business COVID-19 safe. COVID-19 has spread in workplaces, so the quid pro quo of being able to open is doing it in a way that doesn’t spread the virus.
Stay regional. You can exercise at parks or beaches within your region, but the closer to home the better. Activities must be safe – keep 2 metres away from anybody not in your bubble. Make minimal trips.
Keep your bubble as small as possible. If you need to, you can expand your bubble a small amount to bring in close family, isolated people or caregivers.
Wash your hands often with soap. Then dry them. Cough and sneeze into your elbow.
If you are sick, stay at home and quickly seek advice from your GP or Healthline about getting a test. There is no stigma to COVID-19. We will only be successful if everyone is willing to play their part in finding it wherever it is.
Businesses can use the week ahead to prepare for Alert Level 3. Any preparation should be done in line with Alert Level 4 restrictions.

Please read the full announcement here.

Covid 19 coronavirus: Last day of lockdown - Jacinda Ardern's message to New Zealand

23:59 GMT - New virus timeline in US; California had 2 deaths weeks earlier

Two people with the coronavirus died in California as much as three weeks before the US reported its first death from the disease in late February - a gap that a top health official says may have led to delays in issuing stay-at-home orders in the nation's most populous state.
Dr Sara Cody, health director in Northern California's Santa Clara County, says the deaths were missed because of a scarcity of testing and the federal government's limited guidance on who should be tested.
The infections in the two patients were confirmed by way of autopsy tissue samples that were sent to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for analysis. The county coroner's office received the results on Tuesday, officials say.
"If we had had widespread testing earlier and we were able to document the level of transmission in the county, if we had understood then people were already dying, yes, we probably would have acted earlier than we did, which would have meant more time at home," Cody says.

23:52 GMT - Global air traffic could drop by up to 1.2 billion passengers

International air passenger traffic could drop by as many as 1.2 billion travellers, or two-thirds, by September 2020, as the coronavirus pandemic weighs on demand, the United Nations aviation agency says.
The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) estimates that international capacity could drop by as much as two-thirds from previous forecasts for the first three quarters of 2020.
"Europe and the Asia-Pacific will be hardest hit by the capacity and revenue impacts, followed by North America. Similarly, the most substantial reduction in passenger numbers is expected to be in Europe, especially during its peak summer travel season, followed by the Asia-Pacific," it adds.Coronavirus has led to widespread flight cancellations and grounding of aircraft.

Coronavirus pushes US jobless to Depression level: Live updatesNews source

UK scientists have started testing an experimental vaccine as the death toll from the infection hits 190,000 worldwide.

24 Apr 2020 02:41 GMT
26 million people have sought US jobless aid in the past five weeks since the coronavirus hit. About one in six American workers have lost their jobs, by far the worst string of layoffs since the Great Depression of the 1930s. The US House of Representatives has passed a nearly $500bn spending package to help businesses and hospitals.

More than 190,000 people have died due to the pandemic, with 2.7 million infected, out of whom almost 750,000 have recovered.

Testing of an experimental COVID-19 vaccine began on healthy volunteers at University of Oxford in Britain, the latest in a cluster of early-stage studies in search of protection against the coronavirus.

The head of the World Health Organization (WHO) says there are "worrying upward trends" in early epidemics in parts of Africa and Central and South America, warning that the "virus will be with us for a long time".
