All You Need to Know About FireChat #Messenger

FireChat uses Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct to create a network between available phones in an area. This is the reason why it doesn't require internet to work.

FireChat was a proprietary mobile app, developed by Open Garden, which uses wireless mesh networking to enable smartphones to connect via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc
