Google Released TV Remote Control App For iOS Devices (www.drmobiles.co,.nz)

Google's TV remote control application which was released last December for Android devices is now available for all iOS devices (iPhone, iPod touch and iPad). Android users can share web pages right from their phone’s browser to their TV. iPhone users won’t be able to do that.

Turn your Apple iOS device into a fully functional Google TV remote! Use the mouse pad, arrow keys, and the full range of buttons. Allows you to turn the TV and AVR on/off so you can use this as the primary remote. Even search using your voice!

Works with all Google TV devices. To get started, connect your iOS device to the same network as your Google TV.

iOS 5 tweak reveals hidden Android-style auto-complete keyboard (Telstra iPhone 4S Unlocking by drmobiles.co.nz)

iOS 5 tweak reveals hidden Android-style auto-complete keyboard
Following the news that there's a hidden panorama camera mode hidden within the depth of iOS 5, it was only going to be a matter of time before some clever so-and-so uncovered another useful feature that didn't make the final cut for the platform's release.

And that clever so-and-so has struck, and he goes by the name of Sonny Dickson. The self-confessed "hacker" has uncovered an Android-style auto-complete feature that presents users with a number of word choices to make typing quicker. He's tweeted pictures of the feature working on both an iPhone 4S and an iPad 2.

And the good news is, like the panorama camera mode, that you don't need to jailbreak your Apple toy to get the goods. You can simply mess around with your device's configuration settings using a free program called iBackupBot.

It's all about saying yes to the Library/Preferences/com.apple.keyboard.plist, obviously.

We're hoping that the next iOS 5 hidden treat is a link to the Android Market - it's certainly heading that way...

iOS 5 tweak reveals hidden iPhone panorama camera mode (Apple, iPhone 4 Unlock Services)

A self-confessed iPhone hacker and geek going by the name of Conrad Kramer has uncovered a secret iOS 5 camera function that allows iPhones running the new software to take panorama shots from within the native camera app.

The panorama mode can be enabled by altering the commands in your phone's back-end and points towards a function labelled "Firebreak" that didn't quite make the iOS 5 grade.

Revealing his find on Twitter, Kramer said:

"So, I found out how to enable Panorama is the iOS Camera app. Set the key 'EnableFirebreak' to YES in com.apple.mobileslideshow.plist"

Once enabled, the function allows you to take pictures that can be stitched together, left to right, much like Microsoft's popular Photosynth app, which is available in the App Store.

iOS 5 brought with it a number of camera improvements including grid lines, pinch-to-zoom gestures, single-tap focus and exposure locks to compose a picture on the fly.

Let's hope that a future revision of the platform adds the panorama mode; it's a great tool to have for capturing landscape scenery, big groups of friends and fat people.

Breaking news....Apple confirms no Siri for iPhone 4 (source: www.drmobiles.co.nz)

Apple has confirmed that it has no plans to bring its voice search feature, Siri, to older iPhone devices - stating that: "we currently have no plans to support older devices".

The news comes in from Michael Steeber's blog who had received word from someone who had contacted Apple with a bug report and had received a reply from Apple saying that Siri will only be available on the iPhone 4S.

"Engineering has provided the following feedback regarding this issue: Siri only works on iPhone 4S and we currently have no plans to support older devices."

Although this news won't come as a huge surprise to many users, there had been various attempts to port Siri voice recognition to earlier models and, according to some, there is no good reason why the iPhone 4 wouldn't be able to support it.

Siri, however, is still in its early stages and currently has a "beta" tag attached to it, so when certain issues are ironed out and, more importantly for Apple, the company has sold enough iPhone 4Ses; there could well be a change of heart at Cupertino.

A picture of a huge snake of 55 ft (feet) long, no joke!

Photograph purporting to show a 55ft snake found in a forest in Malasia has become an internet sensation.

The thread claimed the snake was one of two enormous boas found by workers clearing forest for a new road. They apparently woke up the sleeping snakes during attempts to bulldoze a huge mound of earth.

“On the third dig, the operator found there was blood amongst the soil, and with a further dig, a dying snake appeared,” said the post.

“By the time the workers came back, the wounded boa had died, while the other snake had disappeared. The bulldozer operator was so sick that he couldn’t even stand up.”

The post claimed that the digger driver was so traumatised that he suffered a heart attack on his way to hospital and later died.

The dead snake was 55ft (16.7m) long, weighed 300kg and was estimated to be 140 years old, according to the post.
